This beautiful two bedroom apartment is situated in the middle of the exclusive "Banana" district of Cannes and minutes from the beach. Cannes is probably the most elegant resort on the French Riviera and is easy traveling distance to Monaco, St. Tropez, the Italian Riviera and the Swiss Alps. It is a perfect base from which to explore southern Europe or simply stay put and enjoy sophisticated French living at its finest. The apartment is on the third floor of a 200 year old building. It was totally refurbished in 2005 and now represents elegant living at its finest. The state of the art kitchen contains everything needed for gourmet cooking. There is a plasma TV with cable and high speed internet connection. Each bedroom has its own TV and music system. The two bathrooms are fitted with tubs and showers, and the bed linens are of the finest Egyptian cotton. Look out of the tall windows onto the small one way street and see "le Cave," the best French restaurant in town, 50 feet away. Go down to the street and walk three minutes to the sandy beach, or the fabled Carlton Hotel for cocktails. Sit on the outside patio of the Festival bar enjoying a salad Niciose while watching the world go by, or pretending you are the film Festival. The ladies can browse in the best Italian designer shops in the world. They are within a short walk. Go a few more blocks past the yachts in the old port to "la Suquet," the century's old fortified part of Cannes. Along the way back stop off in "les Halles," the old market offering an amazing array of every conceivable type of food for lunch or supper.
